”My son is now 12-years-old. When he was 4, he started. I chose Headstart as an after-school activity for some key reasons: location close to home, the fact they would pick him up at Kindergarten and safely bring him to Headstart, their flexibility on pick-up time in the evening and last, but not least, for being a bilingual Kita.
8 years later, I have a number of additional reasons for him to keep going to Headstart: the owner Maria is super friendly and very flexible, great staff, delicious lunches, casual familiar atmosphere, possibility of having English lessons (he is now speaking English really well!)....and the most important of all: every year I ask my son if he still wants to keep going to Headstart, as he is now the oldest kid, and the answer is an immediate “YES!”. Because of school and other activities, we have reduced his attendance to a few hours in 2 afternoons, but for him, it is very important to keep going back, to play with the other cool kids and to keep improving his English.
